Quick Answers to Common Questions
We have four sizes of storage unit available. A full container is 20’ x 8’ x 8’, equivalent to 1280 cubic feet. As a rough guide, a 20’ container should hold the contents of an average 3 or 4 bedroom house.
We also have smaller units available inside a container. Approx sizes are 10’ x 8’, 8’ x 4’ and 5’ x 4’.
We only use brand new containers of steel construction. They are sealed against damp but have ventilation to prevent condensation however we would recommend that you cover any soft furnishings or perishable items if you are storing them long term. All containers are kept in excellent condition and cleaned thoroughly before each use.
The containers are sited in a purpose-built area within our shop grounds and monitored by CCTV. The front gates are locked at night.
It is not always necessary but it is advisable. Make a no-obligation reservation, even if you are not sure what date you will require a container from. We will do our utmost to accommodate you when you need it.
You will need to bring a valid debit or credit card.
At the present time we do not provide a removals or van hire service. We are, however, happy to recommend local companies that have this facility.
We offer vehicle access to every unit so, unlike other storage facilities, you can drive right up to the doors of your container for loading and unloading, saving lots of time and energy. Access is available during our normal shop opening hours. Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, Sundays 1pm to 5pm.
No. We ask you to read our terms and conditions and fill in a licence agreement, giving contact details and an invoicing address. It is NOT a lease and can be terminated with seven days notice.
Absolutely not. There is a minimum period of only four weeks. You may, of course vacate within this time but you will not be eligible for a refund.
Payments can then be made by debit or credit card.
We only require seven days written notice when you want to vacate your container.
Please use common sense. Do not store anything toxic, explosive or flammable ie. gas cylinders or fuel, anything perishable i.e. foodstuffs and nothing stolen!
